We had a huge protest on February 18. The most people I’ve ever seen speak at a Rutgers Board of Governors meeting, families coming through and speaking. We were going to hit all the government meetings—they knew that this was going to require a dozen or two dozen different public meetings, and they’ve got the county involved, and they’ve got Rutgers involved. So it was going to create a ton of opportunities for people to speak. And then, bam, COVID. Protesters and people were willing to put themselves on the line, but suddenly the university was closed and in-person, public meetings were off-limits.
